I have dark brown hair and I want to dye it black. I have heard that dying it with harsh chemicals can really damage my scalp. What can I do???

Dye is not safe trust me but a temporary color (aka rinse) can do no harm but if you dye it remember when it stars growing it out you must keep it up by dying it all over again and again and again (you get the point).There are amonia free products but I am not sure if they are good products.
