Have dyed dark dark drown hair want to change it back to natural?

do I need to strip hair of dye that's already there or can i just dye it back to what it was dark dirty blond/brown

Yes, I would suggest striping the hair completely so the dark color flushes out completely. My friend has dyed her hair so much that the color is basically there for a while, but she stripped it and it looks almost completely normal now. Since I'm assuming you've only dyed your hair once or twice, stripping your hair is the way to go. Try Sally's Beauty Supply, they carry the stripping products if you don't want to get it professionally done.

Hope I've helped!

I think it would be a better idea to buy a hair stripper, then dye it back, with you going that dark and trying to go back light, alot of times you end up with more of the brassy, orange look.

Instead of changing the whole thing you could add some highlights like copper color.

But if you're talking black you're have to strip your hair which is turning it white and trying to dye it another color. Or grow it out is the best thing to do.
